Gytis Baliukonis and Stasys Pilikauskas founded Litnobiles UAB in 1998, with the aim of creating a market for protective coatings in Lithuania. Even though the heads of the company had to use public transport to fulfil the first orders, they are celebrating their success today: in the course of 20 years, the company has managed to rally the best protective-coating specialists in the region, establish itself in the Baltic states, and successfully expand into Ukraine.
The company’s first partner was Nobiles, an entity of the AkzoNobel group. After achieving great sales results, in 2003 the Lithuanian company received a proposal from AkzoNobel to represent the world leader in anti-corrosion products – International Paint. Litnobiles UAB took into consideration AkzoNobel’s 130 years of experience and achievements in the market for protective coatings, and agreed to become the official representative of International Paint's Protective Coatings division in Lithuania.
To ensure a high-quality service for Lithuanian customers, the management of Litnobiles UAB began to expand the company, and Apsauginės dangos UAB launched in Klaipėda in 2006. Just a year later, Litnobiles also started to expand into international markets: Interkrasas Baltija SIA was founded in Riga in 2007, and Intervärv Eesti OÜ in Tallinn in 2008.
International expansion did not hinder the quality of work in Lithuania. In 2011, Litnobiles UAB was recognised as one of the most robust Lithuanian companies, receiving a certificate to mark the company's high solvency ratio and its significant contribution to the economic future of Lithuania. The company continued to receive this award.
Litnobiles UAB is associated with transparent and honest business. It has been a member of the Clear Wave initiative since 2012, meaning that the company does not use illegal remuneration practices, conducts public procurement transparently, pays its taxes and is committed to transparent operations. In the same year, the company joined the ISO 9001 quality-management system, which ensures services of an even higher quality and sustainable expansion.
Shortly afterwards, Litnobiles UAB was declared one of the fastest-growing companies in Lithuania and has been winning the prestigious Gazelle award since 2012. In that year, the company also became a member of the Association of Lithuanian Chemical Industry Enterprises, and is an associate member of the Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists.
All this recognition did not slow down the company's desire for progress: less than a year later, Litnobiles UAB invested in improving the specialist knowledge of its employees, successfully participating in a European Union professional-development project called Creating the Future of Lithuania.
Litnobiles UAB expanded again in 2013, establishing the Inter Baltic Group office in Ukraine. Today, the international group of companies employs more than 50 people.
